Maceió!!!

Bom Dia a todos!!

Escrevo diretamente de Maceió, a primeira praia que visitamos nessa longa viagem!! Hoje faz mais um ensolarado e quente dia aqui no Nordeste do Brasil!
Os dias aqui foram deliciosos! Após uma longa viagem desde Lençóis, chegamos aqui na sexta-feira à noite e fomos descansar!


No sábado visitamos as Piscinas Naturais da famosa praia de Pajuçara, e tivemos tempo livre para conhecer e fazer muitas compras nas feirinhas de artesanato de lá!




Ontem cedo seguimos até a Barra de São Miguel, onde pegamos um barco e atravessamos para a MARAVILHOSA praia do Gunga, uma das mais lindas da região. Após muita dança e diversão no barco, chegamos e ficamos lá por mais de 4 horas: todos nadaram e curtiram bastante o lindo dia! À noite, mais diversão: fomos dançar forró no tradicional Lampião, uma casa de show a beira-mar, na Praia da Ponta Verde:! Todos mostraram o que aprenderam em nossa aula em Brasília!!
Hoje acordamos um pouco mais tarde para descansar, e daqui a pouquinho partiremos para Natal, no Rio Grande do Norte! De lá, mando mais notícias!

Good Morning all!!

I write now from Maceió, first beach we visited on this long journey!! Today is another sunny and warm day here at the Northeast of Brazil!!
The days here have been delicious. After a long journey from Lençóis, we arrived here Friday night!
On Saturday morning we went to visit Pajuçara Natural pools. Pajuçara is a marvelous and famous beach here. After lunch, we had free time to make many purchases in the Handicraft market of here!

Yesterday morning, we woke up early and went to Barra de São Miguel, where we took a boat to cross to Gunga Beach, one of the most PERFECT in the region. After much dancing and fun on the boat, we arrived there and stayed for more than four hours: the students swam and enjoyed a lot the beautiful day! At night, more fun: we danced forró at Lampião, a traditional forró show house by the sea. The students showed what they learned at the Forró Class in Brasilia!!
Today we woke up a little later to rest, and in a bit we will departure to Natal, in Rio Grande do Norte state! From there I’ll send more news!

Lençóis - Chapada Diamantina!!!

Bom Dia!!!

Que dias maravilhosos passamos aqui em Lençóis!!! Caminhamos, nadamos em cachoeiras, perdemos o fôlego com as vistas maravilhosas enfim...tivemos momentos inesquecíveis!
Na quarta-feira fomos até o incrível Morro do Pai Inácio, de onde se pode ter uma das vistas mais lindas do Brasil: a vista é realmente ESPETACULAR, e até esquecemos o tanto que tivemos que caminhar para chegar até lá! À tarde visitamos o salão de areias coloridas!

Ontem cedo saímos para um passeio delicioso: 60m de descida pelo Escorregador Natural. Claro que todos desceram mais de uma vez! Tivemos a tarde livre para aproveitar mais a infra-estrutura do hotel e, após o jantar, uma surpresa os aguardou. Todos ficaram ANIMADÍSSIMOS quando chegou um grupo de capoeira com mais de 50 integrantes! Nosso estudante David Whiteman deu um show de capoeira!! Tiveram depois uma pequena aula de samba e capoeira: todos simplesmente amaram!!!!
Estamos de partida agora para Maceió, a primeira praia da viagem e em minha opinião, uma das mais lindas de todo o Nordeste!!

Good Morning

What wonderful days we spent here in Lençóis! We walked, swam in waterfalls, lost our breath with wonderful views ….. We really had an unforgettable time!
On Wednesday we went to the incredible Pai Inácio hill, where you can have one of the most beautiful sights of Brazil: the view is really spectacular, and we even forgot how much we had to walk to get there! In the afternoon we visited the Colored Sand saloon!

Yesterday morning we went out for a delightful ride: 60m down a Natural water Slide. Of course all went down more than once! We had the afternoon free to enjoy more the infrastructure of the hotel and after dinner, a surprise awaited them. Everyone was thrilled when a Capoeira group with more than 50 members arrived! ((Capoeira is a typical mixture of dance and fight left from the African slaves to the Brazilian culture and it’s really strong at Bahia state). Our student David Whiteman showed that he is great at this dance/fight! Then they have a Capoeira and Samba class! Everyone just loved it!!

We are now going to Maceió, first beach that we will visit on this trip and in my opinion, one of the most beautiful of the entire Northeast!

Chegamos na Chapada Diamantina!! / We arrived at Chapada Diamantina!!

Boa Noite!!

Chegamos a Lençóis, parque Nacional da Chapada Diamantina, no coração da Bahia!! No caminho de Brasília para cá, paramos em Ibotirama, cidade cortada pelo Rio São Francisco e bem próxima daqui para descansar da longa viagem. Hoje cedo já estávamos de saída para o nosso primeiro dia de passeios: A fazenda Pratinha e a gruta Lapa Doce.

Os estudantes divertiram-se bastante na tirolesa, fazendo snorkelling e nadando na Pratinha e ficaram encantados com as exuberantes formações da gruta Lapa Doce.
No final da tarde, chegamos ao nosso maravilhoso hotel 5 estrelas aqui: o melhor hotel da viagem!!! Todos aproveitaram para nadar, ir até a academia, jogar sinuca enfim...aproveitar toda a infra-estrutura desse delicioso hotel!
Agora vamos descansar....o dia amanhã vai ser longo e cheio de atividades!!

Good Eveming!!

We arrived in Lençóis, at Chapada Diamantina National Park, in the heart of Bahia state! On our way here, we stopped to spend the night and rest at a city called Ibotirama. Today early we went to our first day of tours here: Pratinha farm and Lapa Doce.

The students had lot of fun at Pratinha making snorkeling and zip line, and got impressed with the beauty and exuberance of the cave’s formations at Lapa Doce cave.
In the afternoon we arrived at our five stars hotel here: the best hotel of the trip!! The students enjoyed the free time to swim, go to gym, play snooker and enjoy the hotel’s great infrastructure!
Now we are going to rest….tomorrow is going to be a long day full of activities!!

Brasília, DF!!!

Boa Noite a todos!!!
Após um dia muito cheio, acabamos de chegar ao hotel!
Ainda estamos em Brasília, e amanhã cedo partimos para o coração da Bahia: Chapada Diamantina!

Os dias aqui foram excelentes! Ontem tivemos o exame médico com o Dr. Antônio, que vai nos acompanhar nessa viagem e cuidar dos meninos. Em seguida, a orientação geral com todos os participantes, quando passamos dicas de como aproveitar melhor a viagem e também as regras! À noite, tivemos uma fantástica aula de forró, para que os nossos estudantes pudessem se preparar melhor para a as oportunidades que terão, em todo o Nordeste, de praticar este ritmo.

Hoje, tivemos um dia cheio: visitamos o templo LBV, Congresso Nacional, museu JK, Catedral, dentre outros pontos turísticos da capital do Brasil.

Agora, acabamos de ter nossa primeira reunião da viagem com o grupo todo, onde passamos a programação de amanhã, fizemos achados e perdidos e elegemos o chupetão do dia: a historia mais engraçada que aconteceu nos últimos dias com algum de nós! A pessoa que tiver a história mais engraçada tem que usar por 24 horas um chupetão pendurado no pescoço!!

Agora estamos indo descansar, pois amanhã vamos acordar bem cedo e passar o dia todo na estrada!

Good Night!!

After a long and intense day of tours, we just arrived at the hotel!

We still are in Brasília, but we will leave tomorrow morning to the heart of Bahia state: Chapada Diamantina!

The days here were excellent! Yesterday we had our general orientation and medical exams with our Doctor Antônio, who will take care of us during this long trip! At night we had the Forró class to prepare the students for the opportunities they will have during this trip to practice this dance!

Today we had a day full of activities. We visited the temple LBV, Brazilian National Congress, JK museum, the Cathedral, and many other tourist sites of the capital of Brazil!!

We just had our first meeting of the trip with the whole group, when we explained the program for tomorrow, made lost and founds and the election of the funniest story that happened in recent days with one of us: the person who wins gets a HUGE “baby pacifier” and has to carry it for 24 hours!!

Now we are going to rest! Tomorrow we will leave really early and stay all day long on the road!

Bom Dia!!!!

Sejam todos bem vindos ao blog da viagem Nordeste Janeiro 2012!! Meu nome é Débora Labarrère, e sou a coordenadora das viagens da Terra Brasil Turismo.
Nesse blog vou postar um pouco sobre o nosso dia a dia aqui na viagem e claro, MUITAS FOTOS! É sempre bom ler comentários dos pais e amigos por aqui! Portanto, fique a vontade para deixar seu comentário aqui!!

Escrevo agora de Brasília, capital do Brasil e primeira cidade que visitaremos nessa longa viagem do Nordeste! Chegamos aqui ontem à noite após uma longa viagem desde Araçatuba, SP.

Hoje o dia vai ser longo: logo após o almoço teremos os exames médicos, orientação geral da viagem e à noite a aula de forró, para que os nossos estudantes se prepararem melhor para a as oportunidades que terão, durante toda a viagem, de praticar este ritmo

Welcome everyone to the blog of the Northeast January 2012 trip! My name is Débora Labarrère, and I am the coordinator of Terra Brasil Turismo trips.

In this blog I'll post a little about our daily lives here on the trip and of course lots of pictures! It's always good to read comments from parents and friends here! So feel free to leave your comments here!

I write now from Brasília, Brazil’s capital city and the first city we will visit at this long Northeast trip! We arrived here yesterday night, after a long journey from Araçatuba, SP!

Today we will have a full day: after lunch we have the medical examinations, the general orientation and at night a Forró class (Brazilian rhythm) to prepare the students for the opportunities they will have during this trip to practice this dance.
